L’Oréal Paris Names Isabeli Fontana as its Newest Spokesperson

Born in Curitiba, southern Brazil, Isabeli was spotted at the very young age of 13 years old. She made it to the finals of a renowned model competition previously won by Cindy Crawford and Gisele Bundchen. The following year she moved to Milan, and then New York to pursue her extraordinary journey. At 16 she was already posing for Marie Claire, ELLE, Harper’s Bazaar, Numéro, I-D, and then gracing the cover of the French Vogue at just 19.
By her twenties, her resume included everything from the most prestigious Haute Couture houses to some of the leading high-street brands. Conquering the international fashion scene, she has now walked for Givenchy, Hugo Boss, Versace, Balmain, Alexander McQueen, Loewe, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Christian Dior, Celine, Isabel Marant, Valentino, Kenzo, Prada…and many others.
Her deep turquoise gaze and sculptural body has led her to break records; she appeared on more than 50 Vogue covers worldwide, posed 8 times in the Pireilli calendar, and has been the face of many campaigns, for more than 70 international brands.
Even if Isabeli has been modelling most of her life, she stands far from any typical model stereotypes, especially with her active commitment to diverse charities. She became a Rotary ambassador for a global network that fights polio eradication, has worked with several Brazilian clothing lines donating to projects for children and teenagers in need, and is a keen supporter of the Pro-Sangue Foundation (helping blood drives) in Sao Paulo.
Humbled by her luck, this mother of two sons never forgets that her happiness comes from the balance in her family life, and the genuine attachment to her Brazilian roots and culture, both core values that kept her grounded.
